The Mustang has crossed a critical step in its rebuild. The motor has been connected and tuned by the fine staff at Twister Motors better known as Grimes Machine Shop in Alpharetta, GA.  Check out the video below!

While we have had a few delays with the holidays, and some medical issues with staff, the new motor runs and sounds great. Next the Mustang will go through some final checks and final paint work prior to picking her up for the first ride in over 26 years.

As we get to the final steps of the work I would like to take a moment to thank several staff at OFI Classics, the car shop that handled the rebuild of the Mustang into a close copy of a 1967 Shelby GT350. If you are ever looking to do some car work like this please consider OFI Classics in Woodstock Georgia. Phil O’Brien and his staff including Rick, Ted, and Guy do really good work. They have many years of knowledge particularly with 60’s model cars. While they worked on mine I saw T-Birds, real Shelby’s, Chevelles, GTO’s, and many others. Their prices are very fair and Phil, the owner, is a very patient and honorable man. He is an old school hot rod guy that still has a passion for helping his customers.  He even has past customers that show up from time to time to chat or even grab lunch. Another testament to their work is that they seem to have many returning customers who bring their cars back for work from time to time.

I wish this amazing team the best of luck with their future work and sincerely thank them for their help and guidance during this exciting project.
